Cristina Neves graduated in Chemistry from the University of Minho (2006) where in 2009 she got a MSc in Environmental Management. In 2014 she completed a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, on the encapsulation of different fluorophores in silica nanoparticles.

Currently, Cristina is a researcher at SECOP Group and one of the main specialists regarding applied techniques to the synthesis and characterization of clays and incorporation of active species for smart coatings.

In her spare time Cristina likes to bake, spend time with her family, travel and read.
